About the Owner
Kia Ora – I’m Chika!
I was born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. I have Ainu heritage, from the indigenous people of the region, whose deep respect for nature continues to shape my way of life and values.
For 20 years, I ran a boutique in Sapporo specialising in European designer shoes. In search of true beauty and craftsmanship, I travelled to Italy and across Europe more than 30 times.
I’ve now lived in Queenstown for 11 years. Today, with a classic VW campervan from Germany, I offer something a little different – everyday life blended with the spirit of travel.
To me, travel isn’t just about going from place to place – it’s about creating memories that stay with you.
